Making Halloween a Cakewalk

This Halloween we ordered each of our kids a Cakewalk Baking Company “Halloween Gift Box.” The first vegan bakery in Utah, Cakewalk Baking Company has been offering holiday-themed vegan gift baskets for several years now: for Halloween, Easter, and even Festivus. We’ve been meaning to give them a try for a while, and this morning, our kids were thrilled we finally did.

Though we gave them their treats the moment they woke up, their sleepy eyes were soon wide open. It was like Christmas morning instead of Halloween! Jack Skellington would be proud. Each box contains three cream-filled dillos (Cakewalk’s version of the Twinkie), a marshmallow ghost, two peanut butter filled chocolate pumpkins, a cream scream filled chocolate skull, a ghost sugar cookie and a cookie crumb covered caramel apple.

Since our kids are vegan, they can’t eat most of the candy given out during trick or treating. But Cakewalk helped us continue our tradition of going above and beyond for our kids when we veganize every holiday, so they never feel left out. They helped us make Halloween for our vegan kids … wait for it… a cakewalk. Way to go, Idaho Utah!
